New rule; no more films or TV shows where every LGBTQ story ends in death, loss, tragedy, devastation. It's such a cliche.
There are happy endings (er, no pun intended), successful relationships (open ones mostly outside of India but... ya know religious nuts of every kind are out there)
There are healthy, happy relationships floating around. Seek and you shall find.
Eg these two.
