Most magazine covers rely on sexy shots of models, actresses and celebrities to sell the mags on newsstands. Filmfare - in an open bid of gender equality - has shot actors topless to sell their mags for decades now. and its worked. think we've bought every single one of these.

BTW this isn't a new trend. we saw images of Rajesh Khanna shirtless in the 1970s used to sell the mag. so its a longstanding tradition.
But wonder how many friends of Dorothy there are in TOI offices cause its like every other month, they get their actors to strip for the camera. not that we're complaining. hell wish they'd do more - lets get them men in swimsuits, briefs and less! (eg the John Abraham covers!).
