Harshvardhan Rane (born 16 December 1983, age 42 as of 2026) is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi (Bollywood) and Telugu films. Born in Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry), Andhra Pradesh, to a Telugu mother and Marathi father, he was raised in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. His father was a doctor, and his mother a homemaker. Rane had a rebellious streak early on—he ran away from home at age 16 with just ₹200 in his pocket and took up odd jobs like waiting tables, working as a delivery boy, courier, carpenter, and call centre executive to survive while chasing his acting dreams. He later graduated from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College in Delhi.
Ages ago I had posted that he was a TV actor and got shat on by "fans", but Rane really did begin his career with a small stint on television, appearing as Cadet Rummy Gaur in a few episodes of the popular Hindi show Left Right Left (2007–2008).
He made his film debut in the Telugu movie Thakita Thakita (2010), playing Sridhar, at the age of 26–27. He followed it with several Telugu films, including Naa Ishtam (2012), Avunu (2012), Prema Ishq Kaadhal (2013), Anaamika (2014), and others that earned him recognition in Tollywood.
His breakthrough in Hindi cinema came with the romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam (2016), opposite Mawra Hocane, where he played Inder Lal Parihaar. He was in his early 30s (around 32) at the time of this debut and received a nomination for the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Male.
Notable later performances include Paltan (2018), the gangster drama Taish (2020), the Netflix thriller Haseen Dillruba (2021), Savi (2024), and the 2025 romantic-political drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which was a sleeper hit.
He has not been prominently known as a professional model before acting, though his striking looks have led to him being featured in "most desirable men" lists. He has done some brand endorsements and advertisements over the years, common for actors of his stature, but acting remains his primary focus.
As of 2026, Rane's upcoming projects include Silaa (2026, action-romance, filming), Kun Faya Kun (TBA, post-production), and reports of him starting three new films, including an action drama (possibly part of the Force franchise) and a high-octane action project from January/March 2026 onward. He continues to balance intense roles while maintaining a relatively low-key personal life.
We have a few pics in the archive before - esp his speedo/swimsuit shot, but waiting for more sexy pics.
