Playing carefree college mates drawn into high-stakes espionage, their electric physical chemistry and high-octane stunts turned Waqt Hamara Hai into a box-office success. It wasn't just a hit; it was a proof of concept.

That debut sparked a decades-long partnership spanning 14 feature films. Throughout the 1990s, the duo dominated action cinema in blockbusters like Mohra (1994) and Sapoot (1996). Yet, their true reinvention arrived at the turn of the millennium with Priyadarshan’s cult classic Hera Pheri (2000). Swapping martial arts kicks for comic brilliance as Raju and Shyam, they defined a generation's comedy archetype, later reuniting for hits like Awara Paagal Deewana and De Dana Dan. 

Off-screen, both translated their Bollywood triumph into formidable financial empires, though via different avenues. Suniel Shetty carved out a reputation as a savvy entrepreneur, building business interests across real estate, hospitality, gyms, and venture investments. 

However, Akshay Kumar remains the richer of the two. As one of Indian cinema's highest-paid superstars for decades, Akshay’s staggering net worth—estimated upwards of US$325 million—placements him among the wealthiest actors globally.

From punching villains in 1993 to landing impeccable comedic timing today, the joint legacy of Akshay and Suniel remains one for the fans. 

They are well into their 50s and 60s now - but both paragons of fitness and good health. Esp Sunil Shetty who is easily the sexiest sexagenarian in the world! 

Akki's face.. is showing his age. We have an inkling the beard he was seen sporting was covering some face lift scars - according to Instagram!!
