Most of India if homophobic. Just blatant fact. Our unfriendly neighbours, its even worse off there even though its rampant - btw our maximum views come from PK! Chances of getting killed for being out are crazy high there (we have friends so we hear horror stories)...
The trouble is we don't have many or enough positive role models, and we don't have positive 'out' role models in media.
